Mumbai is a bustling commercial and glamorous capital of India that obviously attracts the people from far and wide. One can explore the very popular place well know as the gateway of India which is also considered to be the principal landmark of Mumbai.
It was constructed to commemorate the royal visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911 and completed in 1924. The society of Mumbai has the multi-lingual and multi-cultural colours with their rich heritage, glorious culture and one side of its glamorous film city – a dream paradise for all the Indians.
The Portuguese came here in the 17th century and dotted the island with several forts, which exists today. It was given in the dowry to Charles II of England at the time of marriage with the Catherine by the Portuguese.
Now Mumbai plays a major role in the economy of India with the 40% of its trade share and also called the land of magic because of its Bollywood situated here.
