Jodhpur, well known as the Sun City and one the most popular tourist destination with its amazing sand dunes of Thar Desert, once the capital of the Marwar state, was founded by the Rao Jodhaji in 1459 A.D. who claimed the descendent of Rama – the main character of Ramayana.
